SPORTS:

How ‘bout those Eagles!!!!

Georgia State Champions!!! Thank you players and coaches for an awesome season…..You ROCK!!!!!!!.... and we are already looking forward to next year!!!  EAGLES!!!!!

 

Boys’ JV and Varsity soccer play S. Forsyth tonight, at home – JV at 5:30; Varsity at 7:30.

 

Milton’s club ice hockey team plays tonight in the State Championship at 7:50PM at the Duluth Ice Forum!

 

Members of the girls’ basketball team will meet Friday, after school in 6214…

AND all girls interested in playing basketball next season will meet, as well--- same time, same place.

 

CLUBS / ACTIVITIES

Congratulations to Milton’s Mock Trial team!  Andrew Barris won two best attorney awards, Kelsie Walker won two best witness awards, Connor Bourff won a best witness award and Gabby Bolton also won an award for best witness.  James Boxton was honored for being admitted into the Georgia State Bar.  The team also won the first “Professionalism Award” for “exemplary and admirable attributes during the state level of competition.”  Way to go, Legal Eagles!

 

CLASSES:

Reminder for juniors: 7:30am review for the Science GHSGT Wednesday morning in room 1353.

 

Attention Juniors:

GHSHT subject tests will be administered the week of March 15-19.  Attendance for each of these tests is mandatory, so be sure to be at school on those dates.  Arrive early to insure a timely arrival to the testing location before the testing period begins at 8:25am.  Students who arrive late may not be allowed to test with their classmates.  As you know, you must pass each test to earn a Georgia high school diploma.  And please remember to bring a four-function calculator (no graphing or text-storing allowed) all week during testing.

 

Changes to Class Schedules

Due to the administration of the Georgia High School Graduation Tests (GHSGT) on March 15th – 18th, the order of class periods will be adjusted for all students for those four days.   The new schedules for those dates will be as follows:

All juniors will be taking the Georgia High School Graduation Test during the week of March 15th – 19th.  In order to review for this state mandated test, a free online program offered by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) will be accessible to high school students. This free program will provide tutorial support for the Science and/or Social Studies Georgia High School Graduation Tests (GHGT). Students will create their own registration account using their GTID (Georgia Testing Identifier) number.   Students received their GTID number in their homeroom class last week. Detailed instructions for creating this account and locating their GTID number will be provided on the Online Express website or type the following URL: https://www.georgiastandards.org/Resources/Pages/Tools/ExPreSS.aspx

Please be aware that every student must pass all four sections of the GHST to graduate.

 

 

ATTENTION SENIORS:

ATTENTION, SENIORS!  Just a reminder that applications for the 2010 Milton PTSA Scholarships are due THIS Friday, March19th by 4pm.  See Ms. Sabula in the College and Career Office located in the Media Center for more information.

 

 

Milton Choral Department Advanced Chorus Auditions – CHANGE OF DATES

Auditions for the Milton Chorale and Milton Women’s Select Ensembles will take place on March 22, 23, 29, and 30. The auditions will be held after school in the chorus room with Mr. Bowers. If you have any questions about the audition process, please see Mr. Bowers in the choir room 7103. There are some auditions slots before school and during flex-time as needed.
